On Wednesday, 19 November 2025, members of Grudis Network and from the wider community had the opportunity to take part in the truly enriching XXII Grudis Workshop dedicated to the discussion of “How Accounting Can Shape a Better World”.

The event featured internationally renowned experts:

• Delfina Gomes (University of Minho)
• Fernando Gutiérrez Hidalgo (Pablo de Olavide University, Seville)
• Karen McBride (University of Portsmouth)

The opening session was led by Helena Saraiva (Grudis Executive & Polytechnic Institute of Guarda), and the discussion will be moderated by Manuel Castelo Branco (University of Porto), who fostered a deep and inspiring debate.

The workshop provided a valuable space for reflection, the exchange of ideas, and the strengthening of our academic and professional community, inspiring new perspectives on the societal role of accounting.
