The Grudis Accounting Research Network is a community of Accounting researchers. Established in 2001, the Grudis Network's mission is to “promote the development of Accounting research and to foster the interaction between the Portuguese and international communities”. Thus, the Grudis Network encourages scientific research in Accounting, promotes the discussion of relevant topics and issues in Accounting, and acts as a bridge between researchers. Its vision is “to be a dynamic partner, internationally recognized by the global community of Accounting researchers”.
The Grudis Network comprises accounting scholars that are Portuguese nationals but equally international researchers. All are welcome! Joining the Grudis Network as a member only requires sharing the vision and being willing to contribute to the fulfilment of its mission. It also requires the provision of some elementary information deemed necessary by the Executive.
Currently, the Grudis Network has approximately 500 members, affiliated with universities or institutes, or working in practice, although the majority of the members are in academia. Some members act as Grudis Ambassadors within their institutions.

New members are also able to send messages to grudis-network@googlegroups.com via the email account listed signed up on the Grudis Network.
How the Grudis Network can be used
Network members can use the list to:
- Promote discussion and exchange of ideas among members in accounting-related topics, including soliciting comments on ongoing accounting research work;
- Access research work carried out by members or at their disposal;
- Request bibliographic references;
- Announce events in the field of accounting;
- Other activities related to the group's goals.
This list cannot be used to send content unrelated to the purposes of the Grudis Network, namely:
- Promoting activities or disseminating information whose ultimate purpose is commercial;
